I gotta say, after I re-balanced this game down to my pathetic ability, I really had some fun. The original Borderlands made a bigger impact on me though. I didn't feel the need to cheat on that one. I grinded through all the side missions because it held my interest. The sequel had character, but I found it frustrating without co-op help and I found myself just wanting to know how it ended. Not a bad value regardless.
The release date of the game is slightly off, I think.
And BTW - my play time is real. First two playthroughs were just on my own. The game basically encourages you to play at least twice. Then I tried 3rd playthrough ("ultimate vault hunter mode"?) but found the difficulty too heavy to enjoy. ... So I started again with another character. ^^

Then after some no-Borderlands time my girlfriend got the game and *bam* two more CO-OP playthroughs. And yes, in the meantime a truckload of awesome DLCs got released, so my game time will probably even increase.

Just be warned: this game is amazing - and the humor is hilarious.
did nearly every mission and completed the game in 37 hours. played single player as Maya and stopped playing once you defeat "the boss". no DLCs played
Finished all dlc and achievement in around 120-140 hours.

This game is amazing and with the 4 DLC's it just never ends. It probably takes 3 times the amount if you want to level up to 61.
