Totally worth buying. If you play chilled to explore as much you can and enjoy you can with no troubles get 100+ hours.
About 116 hours (I subtracted the time where I'd have the game one for War Table updates while I was doing other things at home). I did all the side quests but one, killed all the dragons, and was still missing one or two mosaic pieces from most of the mosaics. I had a lot of fun, rarely got bored (though sometimes I was, combat is too simple to keep my attention, but the rest of the game, especially the companion characters, kept my interest).
The game does have some unfortunate bugs, but they in no way ruined my experience save for one that got fixed with the game's first patch in early December. I played a Knight Enchanter because I'd never done that in previous games, and I can tell you it's a heady power to play one, including having to solo one dragon on about 10% health for half it's HP after my crew died and I'd run out of healing potions. All that was keeping my going was my Barrier synergies, and that was probably the most fun I had fighting. Otherwise, you can almost turn your brain off most fights save for some micromanaging that's needed in tougher fights on occasion. This was played on normal mode. I'm not sure playing on harder modes would really add to the tactical flavor of combat, though, beyond a few basic power combos.
All in all, it was my favorite of the three Dragon Age games easily, and my favorite set of companions overall from any BioWare game!
Best 120 hours I've spent in a while!
If you spped through it, you are going to have around 30-35 hours of pure joy. If you use more time than that you are gradually going to be more and more bored, until it becomes a drag to complete what seems like the same quests again and again. I used around 45 hours and i can only say that it is one of the best games of this year so far. I would wholeheartedly recomend this game to everyone who loves a good, long RPG, and if not, this would probably be a good place to start.
Well the lead designer told before the release that for a 100% savegame you would need 200h+, I finished Mainstory and every sidequest in 77h. However nowadays this playtime is alot. I recommend Dragon Age: Inquisition to everyone who likes western RPGs like Baldur's Gate, or of course the predecessor Dragon Age Origins.
Currently at just over 296 hours and haven't even done Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts yet. I'm obviously a bit of a completionist.
I literally did every single quest I could find on the map, collected every shard, every constellation puzzle, completed every companions side quest, and slayed every dragon in the game.
Yet I did not break the triple digital hour mark.
Unless you are spending time just sitting at the war table waiting for timers to cool down [which, let's be honest, should have been an app on your phone or something] I can't understand how others are getting several hundred hours in this game.
I was really suprised to finish this game in 34 hours because the story and side quests have so much depth in this game.Tthe gameplay and the story are absolutely marvelous. Its nice, from the perspectives of rpgs, that you get to play a character of significant influence in a land tortured by demons. I would recommand every rpg fan to play this game. The skill system is amazing to experiment with.
100 hours so far. I'll post my time in about 200 more hours. Worth buying!!!
