Add CommentTook 65 hours to do the main questline, recruit all settlements, explore the majority of the map and do most of the side quests. Didn't spend more than an hour or two on building tho.
A selector was broke when adding my time. I wanted to choose PC/Windows but was forced to use Xbone.
Maybe I skipped a lot of side quest and went straight to the point but I finished everything from start to end with all cut scenes at around 39 hours. Totally worth I will be replying but if you were to not do any side quest its kinda quick.
blew up the CIT At about 16hrs... fiddled around with side quests for about 5hrs... after that i got about 4 hrs into Sanctuary stuff it started to get really repetitive, no more side quests other then the going out helping other camps do shit that supposedly will help them but what they want me to do is about 1/4 across the map.. and i ran across about 3 camps on the way there.. yea got repetitive... and i did really hurry through anything, and i probably fucked around with console commands(run fast jump really fucking high etc. for about 2-3 of those hrs.. didnt use any console commands when playing the story tho...)
really think its because the order i did stuff i was in the brotherhood within a hour of starting the game( one of the close settlements have brotherhood guys in it like on FO3 help them your in dont have to try to find them later on in the game after you visit diamond city or how ever it is else you join the brotherhood...)
I don't consider gaming as a contest where fastest play through is the winner.
I have played through the main quest, almost all side quests, built up all settlements and worked up the relation with a handful companions. All in a phase where I enjoy the game.
Now I feel I am through.
I have enjoyed the games for 160 hours.
Stress was never an objective.
Finished up with all major quests complete, a few settlements built and level 48 in 93 hours. I could probably stretch another 50 hours out finishing absolutely everything however new games come along ;)
Took me 250 hours to get the plat on PS4
I needed 281 Hours for the base game, all DLC and all steam achievements.

Surely it doesn't actually take people 100+ hours to "beat the game," maybe for getting a large total completion yes, but I did the main storyline and good deal of side missions/questlines on hard difficulty in a bit over 40 hours. Plus I'm pretty sure about a fifth of that time was spent looking for friggin' wonderglue and aluminum cans...
